U.S. Chamber of Commerce

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, at 1615 H St. NW facing Lafayette Park, was built in the Beaux-Arts style by architect Cass Gilbert in 1925. Gilbert also designed the Supreme Court and the Treasury annex. The building was intended to represent classic American values, with a simple facade with Corinthian columns, faced in Indiana limestone.
