The John A. Wilson Building is a block-long building in a prominent place at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, across from Freedom Plaza. It is the location of the D.C. government offices for the mayor and other officials. It was built in 1908 in the Beaux Arts style, by the Philadelphia architectural firm Cope and Stewardson. The base of the building is Maine granite, and the upper stories are New York marble.
