Organization of American States

The OAS is located on 17th St. at Constitution Avenue. Bronze gates front the three doors on the main facade. It was built in 1910, by architects Paul Cret and Albert Kelsey. The concept of the building was to have elements that harmoniously combined styles from the entire OAS region, so many of the elements are Spanish Colonial, but it also has elements that are Native American, English, French, and Portuguese.
