LeDroit Park

533 Florida Avenue NW

533 Florida Avenue is a multi-family house, part of a series of row houses along this block in LeDroit Park. It was built in 1906. The LeDroit Park neighborhood began in 1873 by Amzi Barber, and was one of the first suburbs of the city. Barber, known as the Asphalt King, was a pioneer in the asphalt industry and later went into real estate development.
