St. Phillips Baptist Church

St. Phillips Baptist Church, at 1001 North Capitol St., was built in 1892 by Appleton P. Clark, Jr.  Clark was one of the most prominent D.C. architects during the late 19th and early 20th century.  Other works by Clark include The Lurgan and John Eaton Elementary School.
