The Augusta apartment building, at 1151 New Jersey Ave. NW, was built in 1900. Architect Arthur Heaton designed the building in the Tudor revival style. The building is brick with decorations in tile and limestone. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The building is owned by So Others Might Eat, and contains 28 apartments for low-income or homeless families.
