1026 6th St. nw - door on the 6th st. side of the building that contains the Eritrean Civic and Cultural Center at 600 L St.

1026 6th St. NW is a small three-story retail building, constructed in 1850.  The front is a mix of brick, concrete, and siding.  It is vacant and has significant deterioration.  It was sold in October for $5 million, presumably to be incorporated in the redevelopment of the block into office space, with some of the historic facades retained.
