The Washington Railway and Electric Company garage, at 2112 Georgia Avenue, is a block-long brick building, originally designed to hold the buses for WRECO. Architect Arthur Heaton designed the building in 1930. The building is now empty and owned by Howard University, which is across the street.
It is on the National Register of Historic Places, representing one of the first garages to hold a fleet of buses as the city transitioned from primarily streetcars to buses.
